Kauaʻi Mental Health Advocates!
We are so happy you’re here. Let’s get to know one another.
WHAT WE DO
KMHA is known for our grassroots work in the communities of Kauai where we host and facilitate community-based forums known as Community Conversations and a semi-annual Healing Mental Health Art Show. These talk-story events ensure that residents have an opportunity to come together and experience healing through community counseling.
KMHA is also growing as a lead mental health professional-development educational resource, with facilitative certifications in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA), and a youth-based Anti-Bullying and Suicide Prevention training.
As participants on the Prevent Suicide Kauai Task Force, The Kaua’i Resiliency Project, and other local mental health initiatives we emphasize the value of community building on Kaua’i and throughout Hawaii. During these trying times, KMHA has done its best to provide virtual resources to aid the community through an especially difficult time for mental health due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are now an official 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. Many community members are asking how they can financially support KMHA. Please click DONATE below to make a contribution. These funds will go directly towards creating community opportunities for mental health support. We will be happy to provide you with our EIN number for your tax deductible donation records.
